Music & creative expression
Instrument lessons, singing, dance, drama, photography and art—chosen by the child, with accessible local opportunities.

School days, friendships, hobbies, celebrations and adventures. We want children to experience a full life, with space for their roots and their ambitions.
Children help create the atmosphere of their home. We would support preferred foods, languages, beliefs, cultural celebrations and personal interests without making assumptions about what a child should enjoy.
We respect privacy, personal belongings, friendships and age-appropriate independence. Positive experiences are part of care, not rewards children have to earn by being “easy”.

Our proposed pathway funds agreed lessons, equipment, transport and staff support so practical barriers do not decide what a child can explore.

Swimming, clubs, outdoor activities, volunteering and friendships. We assess risk so children can participate safely, rather than avoid life.
Coding, making, cooking, languages and other interests. We support practice, celebrate progress and allow children to change their minds.
We would work with parents, siblings, kinship carers, foster carers and other important people where this is safe and consistent with the child’s plan. Our aim is to strengthen helpful relationships without pressuring children into unsafe or unwanted contact.
Family work is not an adoption or fostering service, court assessment or a guarantee that reunification is possible.
Our intention is to fund approved UK and overseas experiences, including travel, accommodation, activity costs, insurance and accompanying staff. Children should have opportunities to discover new places, try new foods and experience cultures beyond their everyday surroundings.
Travel is child-led and never compulsory. Every trip requires an individual assessment, safe staffing, appropriate legal consent, travel-document checks, medical planning, insurance and a contingency plan. A suitable alternative must be available for a child who cannot or does not want to travel. We would protect school attendance and never share children’s locations or photographs publicly without appropriate safeguards.
Children and trusted adults would set goals together, revisit them without blame and celebrate effort as well as achievement. We want independence to grow through supported choices and a strong foundation of belonging.
We are keen to partner with health and social care professionals who share our commitment to children’s safety, stability and ambition.
